What are you raising money for?

Dear Kind-Hearted Friends, In my community in Ede, there are no schools adequate for pre-schools and toddlers. You will agree with me, Education is the foundation of every child’s future, but for many children in our Ede community, that future is hanging in the balance. To help these kids, i have trained up as a teacher (up to Masters Degree) and I started a school - Delightsome Academy registered in Nigeria. I have also proceeded in building a place where they can receive quality education. Thanks to the incredible generosity of friends and family, we’ve made tremendous progress—the school is halfway built! But now, we’ve hit a critical point. Every child deserves to learn in a proper classroom—one with a solid roof over their head, safe flooring beneath their feet, and basic fittings that make learning possible. Right now, they study in makeshift spaces, where bad weather and poor conditions disrupt their education daily. This school will change that. It will be a beacon of hope, a place where young minds can grow, dream, and build a better future. Without additional support, construction will stall, and the dream of a safe, quality learning environment for these children will remain just out of reach.

Why are you raising the funds?

You Can Help!! We're raising funds to complete our school project and provide children with a proper learning environment. Your support will help us finish three critical element Roofing – to shield children from rain and sun. Flooring – to give them a stable, safe place to learn. Classroom fittings – desks, chairs, and basic supplies. Currently, children study in temporary spaces that flood during rains and lack basic amenities. Every donation - no matter how small - directly contributes to construction materials and supplies. N850,000 will cover cost of roofing sheets, N650,000 provides flooring for one classroom, and N500,000 supplies a desk and chair set. Together, we can transform this unfinished building into a thriving school where children can learn safely and pursue their dreams No contribution is too small. Every brick, every nail, every dollar brings us closer to opening those classroom doors.

What will the funds raised help achieve?

Your generous support will help us complete the construction of a much-needed school for underprivileged children in our community whose parent can't even fund their education. The funds raised will directly finance roofing materials to protect students from harsh weather, durable flooring to create safe learning spaces, and essential classroom fittings like desks and chairs. Currently, children study in temporary shelters that flood during rains and become unbearably hot in dry seasons. By finishing this school, we'll provide over 30 students with a proper learning environment that fosters growth and opportunity. This project will also create local jobs during construction.
