What are you raising money for?

What we raising the funds for it to reach out to ask for your support as we embark on the journey to grow our family through IVF and surrogacy. After much thought, prayer, and consultation with medical professionals, we have chosen this path as the best and safest way for us to become parents. As you may know, the process of IVF and surrogacy is incredibly costly. The funds we raise will go toward essential expenses that include IVF procedures, fertility medications, and medical tests for both of us as the intended parents. These are necessary steps to ensure a safe and healthy beginning. A significant portion of the funds will also be used to support our surrogate mother. This includes her medical care throughout the pregnancy—such as tests, antenatal check-ups, delivery, and postnatal care—as well as legal fees, accommodation, nutrition, and other related expenses that ensure her comfort, health, and well-being during this life-changing journey. We are committed to doing everything we can to make this process smooth, respectful, and safe for everyone involved. But we cannot do it alone. Why are you raising the funds?

I am raising the funds for IVF and surrogacy because I am in my forties already and I've been married for ten years and no kids. Having had series of miscarriages and still births and the one that made me conclude on IVF and Surrogacy was when I was finally able to carry pregnancy to seven months old, only to lose the baby after I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia. I was immediately taken to the theatre for an emergency cesarean section only to lose the baby few days after the baby was placed in an incubator. The agony and emotional torture caused by the aftermath of losing the baby, coupled with cesarean section pain that took a toil on me and I suffered depression that almost led to suicide. The trauma I also went through from people that mocked me after seeing that the pregnancy tummy is down again and not seeing any baby again as this wasn't the first time. These are my reasons and why I arrived on the conclusion of raising for funds from kindhearted people to help me achieve my dreams of becoming a mother and having children of my own.

What will the funds raised help achieve?

The funds raised would help achieve my dream of becoming a mother, being called a mother and they would be peace, joy and happiness in my home. It would also cover all medicals bills associated with IVF procedures, the test, medical examinations and bills, payment for surrogacy. As the surrogate mother helps carry the baby to full term as her womb would serve as an incubator for we the intended parents, myself and my husband. Having exhausted all we have on medical expenses as we've tried all we could to have children of our own. This is why we've chosen this line of action to ask from help (donations) from kindhearted people.
