Free music education for ghetto children

70% of kids in Nigerian ghetto communities are exposed to street and gang activities. Some of them have bad upbringing because of their poor background and so they end up joining gangs, taking drugs or even becoming pregnant. They are victims of child abuse such as street hawking, molestation and other child labour.  We want to provide an after school activity, something that is both educative and fun. We want to teach classical and contemporary musical instruments to these children, in order to avert their attention from street and gang activities.

Learning a musical instrument, just like everything else, takes time, dedication and effort. And when learned in a fun and practical way, with lots of exercises , games, and reward for excellence, the children will be inspired to excel.

We want to give them an after school lesson experience that will not only encourage them to do their regular school home work, but will keep them focused and wanting more.

Our goal is to put a smile on their faces and give hope for a bright future to kids who are poor. We believe that great talents will be discovered through this project and kids with exceptional abilities will be exposed to the world.
