What are you raising money for?

To raise N6.57 million for the urgent total hip replacement surgery, comprehensive recovery support, and intensive physiotherapy of Miss Aanuoluwa Akinsanya. She is a 34-year-old Nigerian chef and courageous sickle cell warrior battling severe avascular necrosis of the left femoral head combined with progressive hip osteoarthritis and debilitating leg ulcers resulting from veinous cut complications during past sickle cell crisis treatments. Her medical condition has significantly deteriorated and she requires immediate surgical intervention to prevent permanent disability. The comprehensive funds will cover all surgical expenses, hospital fees, post-operative management, medications, physiotherapy sessions, and rehabilitation costs necessary for her complete recovery and successful return to normal daily life and professional activities.

Aanuoluwa's deteriorating medical condition has progressively left her unable to walk or sit. She experiences excruciating pain daily due to her hip complications and is at extremely high risk of permanent disability and mobility loss if urgent surgery is not performed immediately. After thorough comprehensive medical evaluations conducted at both Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife, Osun State and Vinamed Safeway Specialist Hospital also in Osun State (Hospital reference: VSSH/1061/2025), medical specialists have confirmed she requires an urgent Complex Primary Total Hip Replacement Surgery. The treatment cost is N6,570,000 naira. Amount raised so far is N400,000 with a critical shortfall of N6,170,000.
