Although I have been accepted into the program, international students must personally cover several essential costs before traveling to the United States and before any assistantship, stipend, or on-campus job can become available. These expenses include: Flight from Nigeria to the United States – $1,500 SEVIS Fee – $350 F-1 Visa Application Fee – $185 First Month’s Rent + Security Deposit – $2,250 These unavoidable expenses total $4,285 (?6,427,500), an amount I am unable to raise on my own. I am deeply passionate about chemistry and plan to pursue a PhD in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry after completing my master’s degree.
