Increased security and peace in Jos/ Bukuru metropolis....
Prince a 21 year old was arrested and charged to court for attempting suicide. After a month he was bailed with the help of Olamma Cares Foundation, The T.O Foundation and other well meaning organizations. He was then admitted to a mental health facility for two weeks where he was diagnosed of Clinical Depression and is undergoing treatment.
The stress of life affected Prince’s mental health, from hearing about his mother’s depreciating health condition, to be borrowing and incuring a debt of N150,000 to offset part of his mother’s medical bills (which is N300,000) and then followed by his dismissal from his N35,000 paying job (organization was restructuring).
Prince lives with his aunt and her husband and 2kids in one bedroom in Ijesha Surulere and has to contribute and cater to the needs of the house, with increasing burden after his uncle lost his job as an okada rider due to the Lagos state ban.
Prince is still awaiting trial and his next court hearing is on Novermber 23rd 2020 but in the mean time, let’s help get Prince out of the conditions that triggered the suicidal attempt.
We hope to raise N1,500,000 to help him an his family move to a better accommodation, gain IT skills (graphics design, web design etc), purchase a new laptop and smart phone, offset his debts etc
