What are you raising money for?

The International Day of the Boy-Child (May 18th) is a day to spotlight the unique challenges boys face and advocate for their well-being. Last year, we expanded our impact with the inaugural Ibadan Boys Conference, and this year, we’re taking it further with the 2025 edition. Our goal is to: -Directly impact 200 boys from 10 secondary schools through engaging competitions and interactive sessions. -Organize keynote and panel discussions with experts addressing the evolving role of boys in society. -Host Engineering and Art Exhibitions to showcase the talents of young boys. -Run online campaigns to shift narratives and spark meaningful conversations. To achieve this, we’re turning to you—our community—to help us show that the boy-child matters and deserves a platform for growth, recognition, and celebration.

Why are you raising the funds?

Boys Without Borders Nigeria has been primarily funded by our dedicated volunteers through personal contributions and small donations. While this has sustained us so far, the Ibadan Boys Conference is a capital-intensive initiative that requires broader support. With these funds, we aim to: -Increase social awareness about the International Day of the Boy-Child -Amplify our voice and push corporate organizations & government bodies to recognize and support IDBC initiatives -Show boys that they matter—that their growth, well-being, and future are priorities for society This isn’t just about one event—it’s about shaping a movement. With your help, we can create real change for boys today and future generations.

What will the funds raised help achieve?

Your contributions will directly support: -Over 300 boys and guests at the Ibadan Boys Conference -Branded merchandise for attendees to create a lasting memory of the event -Logistics and materials for the Engineering and Art Exhibitions -Publicity and awareness campaigns to educate 5,000+ people about the boy-child’s challenges and needs At Boys Without Borders, we believe boys do not grow in isolation. They are shaped by society, family, and culture. This year’s International Day of the Boy-Child aims to: -Educate society on how we unconsciously influence boys’ self-worth and emotional intelligence -Challenge harmful stereotypes around masculinity -Inspire a new generation of empowered, emotionally intelligent, and purpose-driven men Your support will help us continue this vital work.
