What are you raising money for?

I am raising funds for newspaper and online platform promotions, as well as legal fees, to raise awareness about my situation. In 2011, a police officer’s gunshot destroyed my right hand, and the Inspector General of Police has ignored a 2015 Federal High Court judgment to date. This fund will enable me to create awareness on a scale that will help force the Nigeria Police Force to obey the laws and judgment of the Federal High Court, instructing them to fund the medical bill for the 2nd stage medical surgery procedure, which costs NGN 16,000,000, and I am seeking your support.

Why are you raising the funds?

I'm reaching out to raise funds because I lost my job. I couldn’t get another because of my disability. My livelihood is at stake and can no longer fund the process of getting justice in Nigeria. This injustice has gone on long enough, and as a result, I have been living with an inactive right hand for over a decade. The 2nd and 3rd surgical procedures, which will be performed in India, will help restore function and mobility to my arm. A surgical procedure in India offers hope to restore my arm’s function and mobility. BUT the IGP has refused to respond to the request of the Attorney General of the Federal on the matter as to his comments to proceed,

What will the funds raised help achieve?

The funds will cover sustained social media campaigns, blog promotions, and boosted posts to raise awareness about my plight for several months. They will also support newspaper publications to reach a broader audience and clear backlogs of legal fees accumulated while challenging the Inspector General of Police’s refusal to honor a 2015 Federal High Court judgment. Additionally, the funds will enable logistics for appearances on Human Rights Radio and television in Abuja to share my story and demand accountability. They will also facilitate the delivery of annual petitions to the Senate Committee on Police Affairs in Abuja, which have gone unanswered for years. Your support will empower me to pursue justice, fund a life-changing surgical procedure in India to restore my arm’s function, and rebuild my future.
