New Akara and Chips Take-Away Spot

What are you raising money for?

We are raising funds to start a small standard take-away spot for our yearning customers who have been craving for our bean cakes for almost two year.  We imagined we could operate online without a physical location but we soon realised the challenges of having to deliver to customers in far locations and also we never had the equipments to aid our operations and it became a situation of trial and error. After two years of registering the business online and declining orders, we felt an urgency to source for funds if we truly wanted this idea to actualise. This is why we want to finally set up a standard akara and chips take-away spot that would finally connect us to our customers and as well procure the needed equipments that will aid our operations. 

Why are you raising the funds?

We are raising funds for the akara take-away spot because ever since we activated our business online, we have not been able to fulfill a single food request order due to financial constraints and logistic challenges.  We would get a maximum of three orders a day from our online platform and all we would tell our customers is an excuse. We wanted to de-activate our online platform due to our lack of capacity, but we decided to still keep the online platform running with a hope of securing funds someday for our operations. Due to the difficulty in getting a credit facility and convincing investors to invest in our business, we decided to embark on this crowdfunding journey with a hope of raising the needed funds to get our business fully operational not just physically but online as well and to put smiles on faces of people through our service delivery. This in turn, will create an environment for citizens to learn and earn through employment opportunities and this can only happen if we have access to funds. 

What will the funds raised help achieve?

The funds will help bring our business closer to our customers and minimise disappointments our customers faced over the years and replace these disappointments with satisfaction our customers deserve. The funds will give us the initial capital to kick start this business and afterwards, we can look forward to expanding across cities and become more reachable and accessible to our customers across the country. This will also make us attractive to investors who will be willing to invest in our business and further fund our expansion. We would also be able to be part of the development of this country by creating employment opportunities and adding to the gross domestic products  (GDP) of this country. The funds will help drive us up to success and make us a household name.
