What are you raising money for?

I'm raising the money to buy a new laptop so I can further my cybersecurity course and also help with my school projects and presentations as a physics undergraduate. It will help me gain more access to educational tools that don't function on a mobile phone and also run more complex simulations and activities. I've been in need of this for some time and not having a laptop has slowed down my progress both academically and in the betterment of my skill set. I feel if I can get it the sky is my starting point as I'm very dedicated to my course and have enrolled on TS academy, Cisco network, Yoma and Allison courses for Cybersecurity beginners

Why are you raising the funds?

I'm raising the fund cause I can't buy it using my meagre personal resources. I'm a student and I work part-time to pay my fees and support myself but not enough as to get a laptop that is suitable for my cybersecurity tasks. It's important I raise it now cause I have gained a scholarship to study the cybersecurity course on the TS Academy and my cohort starts January 5th. Also my Physics course also requires me to start running educational software and labs that can't work on a phone. I also need to raise the funds now because cyber security is my way out of poverty and will also expose me to various opportunities.

What will the funds raised help achieve?

It will solve the challenge by enabling me to get the laptop that fully suits this task. Also it will help reduce the amount of time I spend visiting a cybercafe at exorbitant prices whilst providing access to necessary tools, sites, applications and software. It will bring about the advancement of my cybersecurity skill set, my exposure to the tech space, my access to the right materials, mentors, communities and spaces that will help me in my academic journey. It will also bring an end to my incessant failure to participate fully in class activities that require the use of laptop device.
