The Boko Haram insurgency which started in 2009 have left millions of women, girls and boys displaced and homeless, Children Protection Concerns have been on the increase for the past Decade since the insurgency started. Humanitarian needs is on the increase with little support to meet those needs. In 2017 UNICEF statistics shows that 3 million children are out of school in the north east region of Nigeria which makes children exposed to various forms of abused, violence,Neglect and exploitation and children being recruited to armed Groups. Child abuse and gender based violence has been on the increase in both communities and internally displaced camps. These boys and girls are innocent children that needed help that can come from you.
FRAD Foundation as a not for Profit non-governmental organization responding to the humanitarian needs of victims of insurgency in Borno and Yobe joined the UNICEF Back to school campaign to meets education needs of 1000 children, improve access to education of these vulnerable population to have decent education. FRAD Foundation as organization envision a Resilient Future where children, women, adolescents boys and girls are Free from all forms of Harm and are supported and equip with various positive coping strategies to take control of their life and Bounce back to their normal Life.
FRAD Foundation Have Trained Case workers that work in communities and Camps to identify children with Protection concerns and out of school, register these children for case management to address these Protection concerns and ensure their enrolment to school. With collective support we can reach 1000 Out of School children by May 2020 to take them back to School. We are accountable to our Donors and Funders, we ensure every penny reach the target beneficiaries and used for the intended purpose. With as little as 1 dollar we can collectively take a child out of the street and give him/her a decent Education. Let’s make the Future Green.
