What are you raising money for?

I have been diagnosed with breast cancer and, after thorough evaluation, the oncologist has recommended a comprehensive treatment plan for me, which includes a total mastectomy to remove the affected breast and reduce the risk of cancer recurrence. Following surgery, radiotherapy will be administered to target and destroy any remaining cancer cells in the surrounding tissues. In addition, I will undergo 18 cycles of Herceptin injections, scheduled at three-week intervals, to specifically target HER2-positive cancer cells and help prevent the spread or return of the disease. This combined approach aims to maximize the chances of recovery, improve long-term survival, and enhance the patient’s overall quality of life.

Why are you raising the funds?

I am raising funds to support my breast cancer treatment, which has been carefully outlined by my oncologist. The treatment plan involves a total mastectomy, radiotherapy, and 18 cycles of Herceptin injections, administered every three weeks. While these procedures offer the best chance for recovery, they come at a high financial cost that I cannot bear alone. What will the funds raised help achieve?

This treatment plan involves three critical steps: a total mastectomy to surgically remove the affected breast and eliminate the primary source of cancer; radiotherapy to destroy any remaining cancer cells and reduce the risk of recurrence; and 18 cycles of Herceptin injections, administered every three weeks, to specifically target HER2-positive cancer cells and help prevent the disease from spreading or returning. In addition to these core treatments, the funds will also help cover related medical expenses such as hospital stays, post-surgery care, medications, laboratory tests, and follow-up consultations. Timely access to these treatments is essential for the patient’s survival, as delays could allow the cancer to progress and reduce the chances of a full recovery. Beyond the medical aspect, this support will also relieve the family from overwhelming financial strain, allowing them to focus on providing emotional and physical care rather than worrying about how to pay for the next treatment session.
