We are raising ?1,000,000 to meet our target of ?2,300,000 to buy, transport, and install 50 sturdy classroom desks for Nagora Primary School, Kankara LGA in Katsina State. The classroom blocks are already finished. Flooring, plastering, and painting are complete. What remains are chairs and tables so every child can sit during lessons. Each desk seats 3 pupils. Procurement specs: Metal frame with hardwood top and termite-resistant finish. Procurement timeline on receipt of cleared funds: Order within 24–48 hours, manufacture within 5–10 days, transport and install within 2–3 days of delivery. We will publish invoices, procurement photos, and installation evidence on this Donate.ng page after purchase.
Nagora sits inside Kankara LGA, a community affected by persistent insecurity and bandit activity. In this context, functioning schools are a vital anchor for routine and safety. Families already worry about sending children to school. Finished classrooms without desks force pupils to sit on floors, and that reduces lesson time, damages concentration, and increases the risk that parents withdraw their children before the new term. We have already completed the building works. The missing desks are the single, immediately fundable barrier between the finished structures and stable learning. Buying desks now will ensure pupils return to school with dignity and focus when the new term begins in the first week of September. Donors who act this week restore the classroom routine and give the children hope of some stability in their lives.
Outputs (within 14 days) • Purchase, deliver, and install 50 desks (seating for 200 pupils). • Handover to the representatives of the local government education secretariat and the community • Publish procurement invoices, delivery photos, and installation videos on all our platforms. Short-term outcomes (30 days) • Increased attendance and uninterrupted lesson time for 200 children. • Safer, more focused, and measurable classroom engagement. • Improved teacher morale and retention. Medium-term impact (3–6 months) • Greater parental confidence to keep children in school despite insecurity. • Reduced risk of children dropping out or being pulled from school for fear, or economic pressure. • Leverage relationships built in the community to sustain impact.
