Book project: kick Against Child Sexual Abuse

What are you raising money for?

I am raising money for our book projects. Weekly, I go to primary schools in my community to teach the girls how to defend their bodies from been sexually abused. The girls are always eager to want to know more. Hence the reason for the book project . With the book, the girls will continue to have a guide to help them navigate their most vulnerable age- childhood . I believe books are a great source of knowledge and that they could empower even the weakest and they quickly become a girl's best friend if they show her how she can defend herself. My goal is to reach a minimum one million primary school girls through the book. My foundation aim to donate this books for FREE so more girls could have access to it .

Why are you raising the funds?

I am raising the fund to help me reach my goal of reaching a minimum of one million girls with the tools - book to defend and protect their body against child sexual abuse which is rampant nowadays, and the number one cause of promiscuity among our teenage girls. I believe if a girl understand the worth of her body and that she can do something to protect herself such as speaking up when she notice an unsafe behavior from an unsafe adult whether known to her or not, and deploying basic defence skills such as yelling, running, kicking and others, she can feel empowered rather than become a victim.

What will the funds raised help achieve?

The fund raised would help me print the books , and distribute to young primary school age girls between 7 and 12 especially in most vulnerable areas. We plan to donate this books in Nigeria largely, and with access to more funds we should be able to donate across Africa. The fund will also help us run more community programs and initiatives such as empowering girls and their parents and wards on how to protect the girl child . As part of our awareness campaign, we would place billboards in strategic location within communities , and hold town hall meeting where we would invite expert health and social workers to have The Talk with the girls and their parents .
