Empower Future Initiative is launching Code4Future, a free weekend digital literacy and coding program for 100 underserved children aged 8 to 13 in Karu Local Government, Nasarawa State. This project will be hosted at our new office in Suite C313, Royal Plaza, Mararaba. Over a 12-week bootcamp, participants will gain essential skills in basic computer use, Scratch programming, creative storytelling, and early-stage coding. The program is designed to be inclusive, with at least 50% of participants being girls. By introducing young minds to technology in a supportive and fun environment, we aim to inspire a new generation of digital creators and problem-solvers. Your donation will help us provide laptops, internet access, mentorship, and learning materials needed to bring this dream to life. Let’s build a tech-powered future for our children together!
Access to digital education is still a luxury for many children in semi-urban and low-income communities like Mararaba. Without exposure to technology, these children face significant disadvantages in school and future career opportunities. Public schools in the area lack functional computer labs, trained ICT teachers, and resources to offer real tech education. Code4Future addresses this gap by giving underprivileged children a head start in the digital world. Early exposure to computer literacy and coding helps build confidence, logical reasoning, and creativity. Girls especially face barriers in tech, and this project seeks to close that gender gap by actively encouraging their participation. Your support provides tools and training that can ignite lifelong interest in technology. Together, we can create equitable access to tech education, ensuring no child is left behind in the digital revolution.
The 4,850,000 raised will directly fund the successful implementation of the Code4Future program, creating life-changing opportunities for 100 underprivileged children in Karu, Nasarawa. Your support will help us purchase 10 laptops, provide stable internet access, power the center with a generator, and furnish the training space with child-friendly tables and chairs. It will also cover the stipends for volunteer facilitators, purchase learning materials, and support outreach and awareness campaigns to ensure we reach the children who need it most. The program will conclude with a Showcase Day, where children demonstrate their skills and receive certificates. This investment gives these children their first experience with technology, programming, and digital creativity. Your contribution will unlock potential, build confidence, and lay the foundation for their future success in an increasingly digital world. Together, we can empower the next generation of tech leaders.
