Back-to-School

Purple Admiral Foundation for Community Development is passionate about ensuring enrolment,  retention and completion of basic education in local communities within the Lagos metropolis is achieved, and therefore commited to rendering  support to cater for pupils in dire needs of classroom learning materials.

Because of our commitment and desire for positive impact in education and the need to see a reduction in the percentage of children who are out of school due to low motivation, the 'Back to school' initiative, promoted by Purple Admiral Foundation aims at mobilising educational resources to support identified indigent pupils in two urban slums of Lagos (Ijora Badia and Orile Iganmu). The initiative hope to provide basic school necessities such as branded exercise books, pens, school bags, water bottles and socks to 300 in-school pupils, who have been identified to be on the fringe of dropping out of school. 

The impacts this initiative will have include:

1. Motivate children to return to school, thereby encouraging them to learn 
2. Promote self worth among children who presently have no access to quality writing materials because of parental financial challenges
3. Boost learning outcomes as children are not only present in class, but can participate in the learning process.
4. Increase self esteem and self worth among peers in class.
5. It sets young pupils up for success by  contributing to their education. A child education supply donation invests in their future by improving the resources available to them.
