What are you raising money for?

HappyFeet is a heartfelt campaign under GHI’s ProjectRAK (Project Random Acts of Kindness), dedicated to restoring dignity and possibility to primary school children who lack the most basic educational essentials. Its mission is simple yet profound: to provide school shoes for children who walk barefoot, notebooks for bright minds eager to learn but held back by scarcity, and school bags to help them carry their dreams with pride. More than just material support, HappyFeet is a symbol of love, hope, and affirmation. It tells each child, “You matter. You are seen. You are worthy.” By meeting these needs, the campaign lights a spark in young hearts, encouraging them to believe in their potential and walk boldly toward a brighter future We are passionately committed to uplifting underprivileged children by improving their access to quality education and nurturing a culture of continuous learning. Many children in rural communities face daily challenges that hinder their academic growth, walking barefoot to school, lacking basic supplies, and struggling to keep pace with their peers. By providing essential items such as school shoes, bags, and writing materials, we aim to restore dignity, boost self-esteem, and ignite a sense of purpose in each child. Our goal is to raise N5,000,000 to support 500 children across Oyo and Osun states, equipping them with the tools they need to thrive in school and beyond. Every donation is a step toward a more inclusive future, where every child feels seen, valued, and protected.

Why are you raising the funds?

UNICEF’s 2022 report highlights a troubling reality: 54% of Nigerian children lack the basic resources needed for survival and development, with rural communities bearing the brunt of this crisis. Nearly half of these children live below the national poverty line, enduring daily hardships such as walking barefoot to school and struggling to learn without notebooks or writing materials. These conditions not only hinder academic progress but also erode self-worth and potential. The HappyFeet project was born out of a desire to change this narrative by providing school shoes, bags, and learning materials to bright but underserved children. Beyond material support, it seeks to ignite hope and restore dignity. Collective action is essential to drive meaningful change and build a future where every child can thrive.
