What are you raising money for?

The goal of this campaign is to support the education of public secondary school students in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria, in partnership with DreamCode Africa. We believe that every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of their background or financial situation. This fundraiser is focused on providing essential academic support by covering the tuition fees for one academic session. In addition to this, we aim to equip each student with basic learning materials, including English and Mathematics textbooks, pens, math sets, socks, and other classroom essentials. Your contribution—no matter how small—can make a meaningful difference in the life of a student. Together, we can help them stay in school, learn with dignity, and dream beyond limitations.

Why are you raising the funds?

In a few days, I’ll be celebrating the last birthday of my 20s—a decade that has truly shaped me in deep and meaningful ways. Growing up in Ota, I attended a public school and, like many children, I struggled with the cost of education. Getting into university didn’t make things easier. There were days I was sent out of class simply because I couldn’t afford a textbook. Still, by God’s grace, I didn’t give up—and I didn’t fail. At every stage of my journey, God showed up for me, often through people who were willing to help when I had nothing. So, for this final birthday in my 20s, I’ve decided to give back. I want to be that vessel of help for the next generation—children whose parents deeply desire to educate them, but are limited by their finances. I believe we can ease their burden and help these kids stay in school, learn, and dream.

What will the funds raised help achieve?

Through this fundraiser, we hope to restore—and for some, ignite—hope in the hearts of children who want nothing more than to stay in school. Many have been afraid to dream because of financial hardship, but your support can help them believe again. It will remind them that God provides, often through the kindness of people like you. With these funds, 30 senior secondary school students will be able to remain in school without the burden of unpaid tuition hanging over them. They will learn freely, without feeling different or left behind. Each student will receive: Tuition for one academic year English and Mathematics textbooks A pack of notebooks A pair of socks Pens A mathematical set Every item matters. Your giving will meet a real need and show these children that they are seen, valued, and supported. Together, we can make education a reality—not a luxury—for them.
