As I celebrate my golden jubilee, I remember the newborn babies that could not survive their first day on earth. This is why I am passionate about the non-profit organization 
4 Breath 4 Life (4B4L) that focuses on fighting infant and maternal mortality in Nigeria.

Do you know that more than 700 babies die in Nigeria every day? Unfortunately, many of these deaths are preventable. A significant number of these deaths are due to birth asphyxia - an inability of the newborn to initiate breathing after birth. Countless babies are labelled as stillborn though they are still alive.
No child should die on their birthday. It is also sad that many women die as a result of childbirth.

4 Breath 4 Life trains health care providers on lifesaving skills for mothers and babies and provides necessary tools.
