Shelter for Victims of Gender Based Violence

The Christian Women for Excellence and Empowerment in the Nigerian Society (CWEENS) is a network of praying and proactive women from diverse denominational and socio-economic backgrounds united in our desire to empower women and girls, protect and promote their human rights and dignity, as well as train them to become change agents towards the transformation of nation and society. 

Because of the recent upsurge in incidents of violent sexual assaults, rape and murder of women and girls of all ages in areas around our nation, we have decided to establish a safe house/shelter for victims of SGBV in the FCT. 

Therefore, we seek your support in helping us acquire a property for this purpose where we intend to carry out mentorship and rehabilitation programs for women and children who are victims or at risk of sexual and all forms of gender-based violence including incest, physical assault, socio-economic deprivation and harmful traditional practices.

This would be a huge milestone for us and we would appreciate your donations towards this cause.
