Child Sexual Abuse is a nightmare, a crime and a serious social issue. It is everywhere – in schools, homes and communities. And it occurs across all socio-economic levels, with 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 10 boys falling victim before the age of 18.

Sadly, many cases of Child Sexual Abuse are preventable through proactive education, but the statistics keeps rising because nothing much is done to educationally empower the at–risk and their carers.

Rhoda & Williams Gbemijo Family Wellness Foundation in a bid to create awareness and to sensitise the public and policy makers on the prevalence of violence against women and children and its negative consequences on the society birthed TeenLEAPs Comic.

TeenLEAPs Comic (Titled SIMI) is a comprehensive literature specifically designed in an easy–to–understand format to help children understand what Child Sexual Abuse is all about and proactively protect themselves. It teaches about safe and unsafe touches to children, and as well signs to look out for to identify groomers and abusers. It also empowers the parents and carers on how to support their children to ward off this social issue.

TeenLEAPs Comic comes in two versions: the first version is a full–colored edition for the children. The other is for teenagers and young adults. WE GIVE ALL COMPLETELY FREE!

It has been statistically discovered that children who are taught about preventing sexual abuse are more likely to report to a trusted adult if they have or are currently experiencing sexual abuse. In our work with schools and religious gatherings, we have also discovered that increase in a child’s knowledge about CSA helps them in staying away from sexual abuse.
