What are you raising money for?

We are raising funds to cover the full costs of getting our two ASEN Academy robotics teams to the Pan-African Robotics Competition (PARC), including: Team Registration: We are expected to pay the registration fee for participating in this competition, which allows us access to tools and building materials needed to prepare the robots for international competition standards. (Estimated at #786,000 total) Flight Tickets: Round-trip airfare for all team members and mentors traveling from Nigeria to the host country. (Estimated at #1,500,000 per person, collective team size of 10, amounting to #15,000,000) Team Uniforms and Branding Materials: Custom shirts, banners, and national identifiers so our teams can proudly represent Nigeria. (Estimated at #200,000 total)

Why are you raising the funds?

We are raising funds to give two robotics teams from ASEN Academy the opportunity to represent Nigeria at the Pan-African Robotics Competition (PARC). Our students have worked tirelessly to earn their place among Africa’s brightest young innovators, but the financial cost of participating is far beyond what most of our families and academy resources can cover. Without external support, they risk missing out on a life-changing opportunity to showcase their skills, gain global exposure, and inspire countless others back home. If we exceed our goal, additional funds will support building more robotics programs and organizing outreaches to underserved schools in Nigeria, which we already do. This isn’t just about competing, it’s about proving that talent from Nigeria deserves a global stage.

What will the funds raised help achieve?

Enable Participation at PARC: The funds will cover travel, accommodation, registration, and essential competition costs, ensuring that our two teams can physically attend and compete at the Pan-African Robotics Competition (PARC) and proudly represent Nigeria. Empower Future Innovators: By participating in PARC, our students gain international exposure and invaluable real-world experience in engineering, teamwork, and leadership skills. They will then bring these skills back to their communities to teach, inspire, and uplift others. Showcase Nigerian Talent to the World: Supporting these teams sends a powerful message that Nigerian youth have the talent, creativity, and determination to compete with the best across Africa and beyond. It helps change the narrative, opening doors for future partnerships, scholarships, and greater investment in STEM education across the country.
