Support #September100 Challenge

We can make this September an unforgettable one for 100 orphans and vulnerable children by giving them a chance to quality education. I have a personal goal to send 2 orphans to school through this campaign.

As I do this, I remember a friend of mine back in my primary school days, Orlando. He was two classes ahead of me. A brilliant chap, who got double promotion and still remained at the top of his class. If he wanted to be a medical doctor, I can’t tell but I know he had big dreams. At the verge of his graduation from primary school, he lost his parent – his source of livelihood. And not too long after that, he lost access to quality education. What do you think happened to his dreams? Your guess is as good as mine.

I couldn’t help Orlando then. But there are 10 million Orlandos in Nigeria today living and dying in extreme poverty. These children have lost their education, are sexually or physically abused, are isolated in their communities, stigmatized as children of parents who were deceased by HIV/AIDS and most troubling, like Orlando, have lost hope for a bright future.

Today, I want to help children like Orlando who have lost hope for quality education to regain that hope. I am starting with two. I want you to join me.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress (James 1:27)

I am confident about the educational approach of BAG Initiative. It’s a model that will transform orphans and vulnerable children into entrepreneurs capable of providing for themselves and their families.
