What are you raising money for?

We are raising money to help fund the school and tuition fees of both deserving and under-privileged children in schools within the focus of the Memorial Foundation, as a way to encourage and help these children secure an educated future. These fees are varied depending on the school, ranging from as low as N56,000 per term to about N190,000 per term per student/pupil. The main eligibility being either outstanding academic performance or inability to continue education based on finances. We consider each case on their own merit, and make transparent decisions on the children to support. We’re counting on interested Donors and Sponsors to channel their resources through the Foundation's Scholarship Programme so we can continue supporting these children.

Why are you raising the funds?

The Scholarship programme has been running since June 2022, after the loss of 14-year old Tamilore Sadare, whose passing birthed the Foundation. Tamilore was an A-student and was awarded a couple of scholarships herself while she was here. We have since funded the scholarship from personal sources. We are raising the funds because it has now proven a challenge to continue the programme solely based on personal funds, especially as the programme gains more popularity and is increasing in demand. From sponsoring only one child in 2022, the Foundation now sponsors up to seven children, and this is after extremely critical assessment per case.

What will the funds raised help achieve?

The funds raised will ensure we can continue funding the existing beneficiaries, where applicable, while also expanding the programme's reach to include more deserving and underprivileged children that can benefit from the program. It is our belief that funding these children's education will make a positive impact on their lives and remove the barrier their parent or guardians may be face in allowing them continue schooling. In addition, we are encouraging deserving children who perform excellently well to continue to be exemplary students academically, thereby ensuring that they maintain a level of delivery and quality that can add value to the Nation in the end.
