What are you raising money for?

The WAEC Support Initiative 2025 is designed to assist 10 financially disadvantaged students in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Lagos State. These students, despite their academic potential, face significant financial challenges that hinder their ability to register for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). The funds raised will cover their WAEC registration fees and provide vital study materials, including past question packs, calculators, and stationery. This initiative aims to remove the financial barriers that often force students to drop out of school, ensuring they have a fair chance to succeed academically and build brighter futures. This initiative aims to remove the financial barriers that often force students to drop out of school, ensuring they have a fair chance to succeed academically and build brighter futures.

Why are you raising the funds?

Education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty, yet many students in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA risk dropping out because their families cannot afford the WAEC registration fee. Without this exam, these students' dreams of higher education or vocational training are cut short. By raising these funds, we aim to eliminate this financial barrier, giving these students the chance to complete their education, achieve their aspirations, and contribute positively to society. This campaign seeks to address this inequity by ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder these students’ dreams of completing their education. By empowering these students today, we are investing in their potential to transform their futures and contribute positively to their communities.

What will the funds raised help achieve?

The funds will directly sponsor the WAEC registration fees for 10 deserving students and provide them with preparatory materials to excel in their exams. This initiative will help reduce dropout rates in the community, improve academic outcomes, and empower students to pursue higher education or vocational training. In the long term, this investment will foster economic growth by equipping young minds with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive. With the 700,000 funding goal, this initiative will pay for the WAEC registration of 10 deserving students and equip them with the tools needed to excel in their exams. Beyond academics, this project is about hope—giving these students the opportunity to rise above their challenges and achieve their aspirations. Together, we can create a ripple effect of change, inspiring more young people to pursue their education and break the cycle of poverty.
